Our world is currently facing one of its greatest challenges – Climate Change. Driven by factors such as deforestation and carbon emissions, the Earth’s protective systems have been altered. As a result, countries across the globe are experiencing increasingly unpredictable weather patterns, often leading to disasters and loss of life.
Many initiatives have already been undertaken to help mitigate the effects of climate change, such as forest conservation and reforestation. Despite these programs, much more remains to be done to ensure that future generations will not suffer the consequences of the exploitation the earth has endured.
The Million Trees Foundation, Inc. (MTFI), through Green Media Events, invites all runners and fitness enthusiasts to join the Run for Million Trees on April 11, 2026, at the Quirino Grandstand. The event features 5K, 10K, and 16K race categories to cater to participants of all fitness levels.
Why join? For every participant, a tree will be planted in their honour – turning each step into a meaningful contribution to the environment. This initiative highlights the importance of being part of a growing movement dedicated to protecting Mother Earth. In addition, all finishers will receive a medal and a race shirt.
Registration is ongoing at Run for Million Trees: An Earth Day Celebration until April 5, 2026, or visit https://greenmediaevents.myruntime.com/register/run-for-million-trees-2026 for more race details.
