Giro d’ Luca once again transformed Bohol into a vibrant celebration of wellness, community, and active tourism as cycling enthusiasts gathered for a multi-day riding experience across the province’s scenic roads and coastal landscapes from May 29 to 31, 2026.

Now in its thirteenth year, Giro d’ Luca is an annual cycling event founded in 2012 by restaurateur and multisport athlete Gianluca Guidicelli, who envisioned the ride as a way to foster meaningful connections and promote active tourism in the Philippines through a shared passion for cycling. What began as an intimate birthday ride among family and friends has since evolved into a sought-after regional cycling tradition, now welcoming a limited number of public participants each year.

Cyclists covered more than 400 kilometers of scenic routes across Panglao, taking in the province’s natural landscapes while promoting an active and wellness-driven lifestyle among riders of different backgrounds and experience levels.

“For thirteen years, Giro d’ Luca has always been about bringing people together through a shared passion for cycling, wellness, and community,” said Gianluca Guidicelli, founder of Giro d’ Luca. “Seeing more cyclists join us in Bohol this year makes the celebration even more meaningful, and we’re excited to continue growing this tradition in one of the country’s most beautiful destinations.”

This year was held in partnership with The Bellevue Resort Bohol, the event’s official hotel partner for more than a decade, which hosted participants throughout the weekend and organized the the Sunday Socials celebration in honor of Guidicelli’s birthday, featuring a special DJ set by Gianluca’s youngest, Paolo Guidicelli.

As Giro d’ Luca continues to grow, the annual ride remains a testament to how cycling can bring people together while showcasing the beauty and hospitality of destinations like Bohol to a growing community of riders from across the region.
